Uniform Policy

In order to provide a safe and orderly climate conducive to education, the Acadia Parish School Board has adopted a mandated school uniform policy. Although it is impossible to anticipate all problems, distracting “fads” which disrupt the spirit, education, philosophy, or dignity of Acadia Parish School System will be unacceptable.  Students who try to circumvent the dress code or fail to conform to grooming expectations will be subjected to disciplinary actions.  The Principal or designee will be the final interpreter of the dress code.

DRESS AND PERSONAL GROOMING

Students are required to be clean, neatly dressed, and well-groomed with final determination of acceptability to be made by the administration.  Student dress and grooming are not to adversely affect the students’ participation in classes, school programs, other school related activities or distract from the learning environment of the school. Extremes in style and fit in student dress and extremes in style of grooming will not be permitted.  No student shall wear, possess, use, distribute, display or sell any clothing, jewelry, emblem, symbols, sign or other things which are evidence of affiliation with drugs, alcohol, violence or gang related activities or exhibits profane or obscene language/gestures.  Beards and goatees shall be prohibited. All clothing and accessories must be worn in the manner intended by the manufacturer. Policies regarding dress and grooming stress the importance of reducing distractions that inhibit learning and are addressed as an attempt to enhance the learning environment.

THE UNIFORM POLICY OF ACADIA PARISH IS AS FOLLOWS:

IN EACH SCHOOL WARD, STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO WEAR NAVY POLO SHIRTS OR POLO SHIRTS THE SCHOOL COLOR OF THE FEEDER HIGH SCHOOL:

Política de Uniformes

Para tener un clima seguro y ordenado propicio para la educación, Acadia Parish School Board ha adoptado una política de uniforme escolar obligatoria. Aunque es imposible anticipar todos los problemas, las “modas” que distraen el espíritu, la educación, la filosofía o la dignidad del sistema escolar de APSB serán inaceptables. Los estudiantes que intenten eludir el código de vestimenta o no cumplan con las expectativas de aseo estarán sujetos a medidas disciplinarias. El director o persona designada será el intérprete final del código de vestimenta.

VESTIMENTA Y ASEO PERSONAL

Se requiere que los estudiantes están limpios, bien vestidos y bien arreglados con la determinación final de aceptabilidad que debe hacer la administración. La vestimenta y arreglo personal de los estudiantes no deben afectar negativamente la participación de los estudiantes en clases, programas escolares o otras actividades relacionadas con la escuela, ni distraerse del ambiente de aprendizaje de la escuela. No se permitirán los extremos en el estilo y la forma en la vestimenta del estudiante y los extremos en el estilo de aseo. Ningún estudiante deberá usar, poseer, distribuir, exhibir o vender ropa, joyas, emblemas, símbolos, letreros u otras cosas que sean evidencia de afiliación con drogas, alcohol, violencia o actividades relacionadas con pandillas o exhiba lenguaje / gestos profanos u obscenos. Se prohibirán las barbas. Toda la ropa y los accesorios deben usarse de la manera prevista por el fabricante. Las políticas relacionadas con la vestimenta y el aseo destacan la importancia de reducir las distracciones que inhiben el aprendizaje y se abordan como un intento de mejorar el entorno de aprendizaje.

LOS ESTUDIANTES PODRÁN USAR CAMISAS DE POLO DE AZUL MARINO O DE LA ESCUELA SECUNDARIA EN SU ZONA.
