Now that ACT scores have come in, the winners of the Junior ACT Challenge were announced! 1st-3rd Place classes were notified and given their prizes during 2nd hour in the library, and the winning class was treated to a pizza party at lunch on Friday. Rayne High School is proud to announce our 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Gabrielle Romero. Mrs. Romero teaches IBCA, BCA, and Digital Media. Her lessons and assignments are creative, and not only challenge and encourage students to practice and build skills, but they’re fun too! She also sponsors the RHS Yearbook and Beta Clubs, and facilitates several PBIS fundraisers. In addition, Mrs. Romero helps to develop graphics and co-manages our school social media account. She is always willing to help others and constantly strives to develop ways to improve our school or provide opportunities and rewards for our students. As an alumna of RHS, resident of Rayne, and member of this community, she has a heart that is purple and gold and filled with Wolf Pride. Hear ye! Hear ye! All rise for the trials of the century. The Fairy Tale Kingdom is putting two of its most notorious villains on trial: The Big Bad Wolf and The Wicked Witch, also known as Evil Queen. The Honorable Judge I.L. Hangum will look to keep this courtroom in line as each victim faces scrutiny and interrogation to discover the truth for Mr. B.B. Wolf and Ms. Witch. Rayne High School Drama Club is proud to return to the stage with a fun evening for the whole family where the audience will decide the fates of each of these villains after hearing from a variety of the victims. Fairy Tale Courtroom, a Concord Theatricals production, features a cast of 12 Rayne High students. Tickets are on sale now for $10, or $15 at the door, for showings on May 13 (at 7 p.m.) and May 15 (at 3 p.m.) in the North Gym.
