Our EMT students have heart! ā¤ļø
Literally.
Our EMT students are learning about the human cardiovascular system and had a chance to dissect hearts last week in class. šā¤ļøš©ŗ

All RHS 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the preACT next week. Check out this informational flyer to get a better understanding of why this is a beneficial experience for our students!
-After testing, we will receive each student's testing booklet, giving student-specific insight on what areas are strengths and weaknesses for each person.
-Using this feedback, we will better be able to help prepare them for their actual ACT Testing.
-More exposure to ACT-style testing leads to increased scores, leading to more $ for college, university, trade school programs, etc.
-PreACT testing will provide you with an estimated ACT Score prediction as well as a WorkKeys score prediction so this is NOT just for students planning to go to college.
All students are encouraged to be present to avoid make-up testing.

Itās time to kick off the high school football season!
This Friday, August 29th, our Wolves will head to Kaplan for the Jamboree!
š„ The theme is Louisiana Friday Nights š„
Show your state pride by dressing out in Louisiana-themed t-shirts and fitsāfrom Mardi Gras vibes to Saints, LSU or Cajuns gear to crawfish & alligator tees, letās see it all!
Just remember, everything should be school appropriate and uniform bottoms and approved shoes must be worn. Wearable accessories are allowed but should be taken off in the classroom if it's distracting.
These dress up days are meant to build school spirit and are a privilege that can be taken away if we do not follow the guidelines.
š£ Spirit count will be taken during 1st hour, and points will go toward your classās school spirit competitionā

Last week in Mrs. LeJeune-Gotteās English III Honors classes, students were recalling their writing skills to practice basic grammar through short narratives or opinion pieces. This sparked a debate on whether or not you can taste the difference between chocolate cake and red velvet cake. To help provide supporting evidence for their arguments, today our Assistant Principal Mrs. Fontenot surprised 3rd hour with a blind taste test - courtesy of Mrs. Huynh and her Food & Nutrition and Prostart students. Blind taste testing revealed you CAN in fact taste the difference. What a great way to end this week bridging English, cooking, and Science!
