‼️Newsletter & Registration Updates‼️ - Once fees are paid at registration, students will take their ID photo (must be in uniform compliance from the waist up) and receive their class schedules and Chromebooks. - A parent/guardian must sign for Chromebooks before they can be distributed to students. If parents are unable to attend registration, the forms will be sent home the first day of school and students will receive a device during homeroom after returning their signed paperwork. - Since originally posting, PE Uniform costs have been reduced from $25 to $20. - Items available at registration that students may opt to purchase include: 2022 - 2023 yearbook ($40 or $45 with a name stamp), $20 spirit yard sign, RHS logo apparel ($15 short sleeve shirt or $20 sweatshirt), $5 logo bumper sticker, or $1 Rayne, Alive! sticker. #RHS #RayneHigh #WeRise #WeThrive #WeAreRayneHigh #GeauxWolves #WolfPride #PurpleAndGold #Registration22

School is still over a month away, but supply displays are hitting store shelves with gusto! For the 2022 - 2023 school year, suggested items for RHS students include: - Loose Leaf Paper - Notebooks or Binder - Mesh or See-through Backpack During registration, each student will receive a Chromebook with compatible hardwired headphones. Reminder: Wireless headphones/earbuds are not allowed on campus. Parents may consider purchasing their student a protective Chromebook case, however, Chromebooks vary in size. It is recommended to wait until the student receives their Chromebook to purchase a case. This past January, RHS began utilizing a communication system within our school records program to improve and expedite communication with parents/guardians. This system sends automated text messages and/or phone calls regarding student absences or tardies, and administration can send messages regarding upcoming events or use this program for notification during an emergency. Opting out of this program (which some parents have done to stop notifications of absences and tardies) will stop ALL messages from Rayne High - including those sent regarding events or emergency situations. If you have previously opted out, you can resume receiving messages by texting "START" to 844-738-0363. If your phone number has recently changed, please be sure to include your new contact information on the paperwork that will be sent home with your student during the first days of school in August. Rayne High School is proud to announce our 2021-2022 Support Person of the Year, Ms. Donna Gildersleeve. Ms. Donna is a member of our front office staff and is an invaluable asset to our team. She is the definition of supportive and beyond deserving of this award. She is warm, kind, caring, and affectionately refers to students as "babies." She is always looking out for them and tries to help them, our staff, and any school guest with any and everything she can. She is a multi-tasking whiz, has unbelievable patience, and knows the goings on of our school inside and out. We literally could not function without her. We are incredibly fortunate to have her and appreciate her many contributions to our school.
