After reviewing the most recent National Weather Service forecasts, we will be resuming operations tomorrow, Thursday, 1/25/24.
We'll continue to be weather aware over the next 24 hours and will communicate any updates if needed.
Schools and parents should work cooperatively if any late arrivals are needed due to excessive rain at arrival time.

Out of abundance of cautions due to updated forecast for excessive rainfall, and reports of problems already this morning with transportation due to water, we will close all schools and district offices today, January 24th, Wednesday. The Acadia Parish School System will resume normal operations tomorrow, Thursday, January 18th, 2024.

The scheduled Acadia Parish School Board meeting on Tuesday, January 16th has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
APSB System Closure Update - The Acadia Parish School System will be closed Tuesday, January 16 and Wednesday, January 17, 2024 due to prolonged below freezing temperatures. We plan to reopen Thursday, January 18, 2024. The closure will give the system time to check all campuses to ensure adequate water pressure and for any problems with pipes due to the cold winter weather event. Thanks for your cooperation and stay warm!!

Early Closure Today Due to Weather
Out of an abundance of caution for our employees and based on the most updated weather forecast from the National Weather Service the school system will close down all operations at 12:30 p.m. today, Monday, January 8th 2023. All evening extracurricular activities will also be canceled for today.
