
DE and Diploma Pathway meeting on January 15th
10th GRADE Students & Parents Mandatory Meeting:
There will be a Diploma Pathway Meeting on January 15th at 5:00. It is mandatory/state law to attend a meeting regarding Diploma Pathways before your child can schedule courses for next year.
10th & 11th Grade Dual Enrollment Informational Meeting:
Any current 10th or 11th grader interested in taking Dual Enrollment Courses next school year, there will be an informational meeting on January 15th at 4:30 (before the diploma pathway meeting.)

TODAY IS OUR LAST SCHEDULED DISTRIBUTION DAY FOR OUR SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM beginning at 9:00 am! Don't forget to stop by one of our Summer Feeding sites to pick up boxes for your children. Sites include: North Crowley Elem, Estherwood Elem, Iota Elem, Church Point Elem and Martin Petitjean Elem. ALL children 18 and younger are eligible to receive one 7-day meal box for FREE! Don't forget Summer Meal Box Distribution is today from 12:30 to 2:30 at pick sites: North Crowley Elem, Iota Elem, Estherwood Elem, Church Point Elem, and Martin Petitjean Elem. Estherwood Elem and Iota Elem pick-up is inside the school cafeteria. A completed pick up form is required at the time of pick up. Next pick up is Tuesday, July 2, from 9am to 1pm.
For those that are not Pre-Registered we ask that you come today around 2:00pm, as boxes will then be handed out on a first come first serve basis.

Notice about Summer Feeding: Due to an overwhelming response and product availability, we are turning off responses at this time to ensure that we have an adequate supply of meal boxes for those who have pre-enrolled for our Week 1 (6/7) and Week 2 (6/14) distribution dates. We have increased our supply for distribution dates 6/21, 6/28, 7/2, 7/9, and 7/16.
We do still have a limited amount of boxes available if you still wish to Pre-Enroll. Please contact the Child Nutrition Program Office at 337-788-4096 between the hours of 7:30 – 3:30 and we will assist you with enrollment.

MHS Veterans' Day Program on Friday, November 10th at 10 a.m.


MHS PTO will host an open house night on October 26th. Parent visitation with teachers will be at 5:30-6:00. Food sales will begin at 5:00 followed by a cake walk from 6:00-7:00, admission is $0.50. If you wish to volunteer or pre-order chili dogs, please fill out the attached forms and return to school.

Midland High will host a FAFSA Night on October 19th at 5:00 in the Library. Mr. Chad Jones from LSUE will be on hand for SENIORS and their parents to complete the FAFSA application. Please bring the following with you:
1. Parents/Guardian 2020 tax returns
2. Social Security numbers for both student and parent/guardian
3. Drivers license number for both student and parent/guardian

Out of an abundance of caution based on the 2:30pm National Weather Service update, we will be closing school operations tomorrow, Tuesday, March 22, 2022. We plan to reopen the following day, Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Out of an abundance of caution based on the most recent cold weather forecast and due to the possibility of unsafe driving conditions in the morning, the Acadia Parish School System will be closed Friday, January 21. We will resume operations Monday, January 24. We appreciate everyone's continued cooperation.
